My mother gave me two warnings after Ana was born. The first being that it’s much easier to get pregnant with your second baby, and the second being that the one time you don’t use birth control will be the time that you get pregnant. She learned both of these lessons nine months before I was born.

And now, I’ve had the opportunity to learn the same lessons. That’s right — WE’RE PREGNANT!!!

This was unexpected… but not totally unanticipated. We’ve wanted this child from the day we were married (before that even), so this is a great surprise.

What a shock. Can’t wait to kiss that precious face in August!!!
