Mistakes and Steaks

Ana has a new favorite saying. She only says it when I’ve clearly done something wrong… so she says it a lot. Today, she was happy to repeat it for me…

“You know, people sometimes make mistakes. But not God.”

Then, turning to Emma, “And some people just cook steaks.”

Emma to Ana, “THEY SURE DO, ANA!”

And there you have it. Mistakes and steaks. But not God!

(No need to thank me for sharing this little episode of preschool wisdom and theology with you.)

  1. James Swaim says:

This reminds me of something Aeris said at Easter.

Aeris: “Mommy, do you know what Jesus ate for dinner at the last supper?”

Kristy: “No, I don't. I know he had bread and wine, but not what he ate for dinner.”

Aeris: “I do. It was spaghetti.”

Kristy: “Did your teacher tell you that?”

    Aeris: “No, I just know.”
