Me, after kissing Emma, “You are so sweet. Mmm, mmm, mmm!” Ana to us, “Not me. I’m sour and bitter.” You know, there are days…
Ana, a quarter mile into a family run, “Oh, I feel JUST AWFUL!” Love her honesty.
Ana to me, overly proud of herself, “I just ate my whole lunch!” Me to Ana, “Do you want me to send in a marching band to celebrate that?” Ana to me, “Yes, please!” Because the world does revolve around her, you know.
Me to Ana, “I talked to your teacher, and she said you were doing great.” Ana to me, “Yeah, I do a lot of great things, you know.” So humble!
Ana, when Emma asked her if she would like to dance, “I would prefer not.” Points for being polite, at least.
Ana, on the subject of Wes’s fever and illness, “You know why you’re sick, don’t you? It’s because you’re thinking of me going to school and how much you’ll miss me.” Because even the flu is all about Ana.
Ana, on the subject of running, “I don’t like running AT ALL. But I like jogging. I’m the queen of jogging. See, watch this!” Followed by a jogging demonstration that took ten times as much energy as simply running.
Ana, while we were clicking through pictures on the computer, “These are boring. I like pictures of me better.” If they’re like the one at the top of this blog, she’s right — they’re definitely not boring.
Happy weekend, y’all!
