For those who don’t know, this past weekend the Faulk Four made the journey north up to the land that is grand, the state that is great… Oklahoma, O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A!
Or something like that.
Wes served as pastor of Western Heights Baptist Church in Duncan, Oklahoma from 2007 to 2012, and we were excited to be there this weekend as the church celebrated fifty years of ministry.
I have lots of fun stories, mainly about how I valiantly managed to go the distance both ways without leaving the other three Faulks somewhere on the side of the road in my annoyance. If Ana and Emma weren’t poking each other in the backseat, Wes was singing hymns super loud, so it was a struggle to remain civil as we drove clear through the state of Texas.
But as it is? I just barely got everything together for our ladies’ Bible study yesterday, have just now managed to unpack our bags, am looking right at a mountain of dirty laundry, and feel the need to fast for the next week in order to shed all the weight I gained in all the fine feasting we managed to do while we were north of the Red River.
In other words? I’ll get to the recaps soon. But not today.
Hope your week is off to a great start, and you’ll hear from me soon! I hope!
Ahem…..that should be “Fabulous Faulk Four”….just sayin 🙂
