Wes was telling the girls tonight at dinner that it’s his job to protect me.  This started a discussion of all the different jobs that Wes has as the husband/father of our family.  The girls had a lot of questions about what it means to lead, provide, and protect and how Papi does what he does for us.

Then, the conversation turned to me and what my job is.  I asked the girls, very simply, what exactly a wife/mommy of a family does.

Ana’s very simple answer?  “She does all the work.”

And that?  Was the best Mother’s Day gift she could have given me.  Seriously.
