Lost Tooth

Emma lost her first tooth on Friday night.

As is the case with Emmy, more often than not, this milestone came with no small amount of mayhem and hysteria.  She was brushing her teeth when the tooth finally came out.  Before she could even figure out that the tooth was out, it went straight down the bathroom drain.

Cue the screeching and the sobbing because, as Ana confirmed calmly like the great, loving, big sister that she is, “The tooth fairy can’t get the tooth if it’s down the drain.”

Sigh.

Papi was able to convince Em that the tooth fairy would come no matter what, and thus, she was able to celebrate the fact that she’s joined the ranks of children who look like jack o’ lanterns, with their gaping, holey smiles.

The.  End.
